In a bowl, mix together the flour, milk, softened butter, eggs, salt, cinnamon, sugar, and baking powder until a soft batter forms.
Transfer the batter into an icing or piping bag (a cupcake filler works too).
On a piece of parchment paper, pipe the batter into straight lines about 4 inches long to form the sticks.
Carefully lower the parchment paper with the batter into hot oil in a deep fryer. After a few seconds, the sticks will float to the top — remove the parchment paper with tongs or shake off excess oil and reuse it as needed.
Fry each batch for about 4 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
Prepare a bowl of cinnamon-sugar mixture. Once fried, immediately toss the warm sticks in the cinnamon sugar to coat.
Serve warm and enjoy as is, or dip them in the cream cheese frosting below!
